i'm not sure how this has happened but i'm guessing is the bug on how the phone handles the application installed on SDcard.
i occasionally try a few new applications from Ovi or Google mobile, faithfully 5800 always crashes due to unknown reason, for certain applications.
the phone would restart itself or i've to force it to shut off by unplugged the battery, when it starts, it'll just stick to the Nokia logo white screen (dubbed nokia's white screen of death) & never went into the pin insert screen or the welcom screen to proceed to standby mode.
what i did was to shut it off by unplugging the battery again & pull out the SDcard before i turn it back on. it'll faithfully start & proceed all the way to standby screen without fail, then only i put back the SDcard. i was happy this trick skips the WSoD but i found out this problem underlying inside the menu. one particular folder i created for all the widgets have all the icons duplicated themselves.
i clicked any of them, they just work the same launching respective applications. when i tried removing them in organise mode, all the duplicated icons will be gone & the applications are removed.
these icons duplicated once more after the recent crash of Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta 2. i've been trying to get a workaround on this to avoid seeing so many same icons, but i've not successfully found a file location i can browse to in FExplorer to delete them away.
if u've similar issue & has found a working method without resetting the phone, please share.

i also faced similar problems....
first i uninstalled the widget, then browsed to C:\private\10282822\ and E:\ private\10282822\ and deleted the widgets folder......and rebooted the phone...

The same happens to me ... 4 "communities" icon and I can not switch off the phone because then it does not boot with the SD inside ... It is a shame ....
