E71 and date problem

From time to time I find out that my E71 is one day behind the actual date. It happens when I turn it off in the evening and back on in the morning. The time is correct. FW 110.07.127, automatic time sync with my operator (O2) enabled. Anybody seen that behavior, or is it just me (or my operator)?

Re: E71 and date problem

It could be a time zone related problem. Is the phone set for the correct zone?

It could also be operator related. What happens if you turn off automatic update?

Re: E71 and date problem

Hi,

I remember seeing in several descussion boards (also here) that this would be general issue in S60 v3.1 devices. At least E51, E66 ... users have reported same issue.

Cheers.

Re: E71 and date problem

Thanks for your suggestions. I had some automagically selected value set up in timezone field when I've selected operator synchronization; I guess it was OK. I'll try to turn autosync off for several days and bug my operator's helpdesk. I'll let you know if I'll find out something interesting.

Re: E71 and date problem

Seems like my operator doesn't support time synchronization at all. I still don't know why my phone runs the time clock on its own and isn't able to do so with date as well, but nevermind. I've turned the synchronization off and it works without problems again.

Are you sure it isn't related to the "workingday-alert-bug"?

Read more about it here or here.

Re: E71 and date problem

My network operator time is off, still I have this bug and it shows because of a repeating alarm (e.g. Workdays alarm) AND when switching off the phone over night. can anyone confirm that this bug has been fixed in the recent firmware updates? I'm using 200.20.118, rm 346 e71-1(14). thanks.
